The Wingnuts finish up the first half this week. What's your take on the season?
Brandon Newton grew up playing basketball on the playgrounds in Flint, Mich. He never knew who was going to show up for those games, just that they were going to be good players and probably be carrying around a little attitude.
The Wichita Wingnuts game on Friday at Lincoln was suspended because of rain and will resume today at 4:35 p.m. with the game tied at 1-1 and Lincoln scheduled to bat in the bottom of the third. Friday's game will be completed as a nine-inning game and will be followed by Saturday's originally scheduled game, which will be shortened to seven innings.
