QUICK BITES
Let's Be Frank
Let's Be Frank is a new hot dog restaurant opened this week by two buddies who said they often crave loaded hot dogs after late nights on the town but weren't able to satisfy those cravings. Kody Allen and Brad Standing, both of whom have restaurant management experience, opened the restaurant at 2425 E. Douglas and are serving 38 varieties of all-beef hot dogs with imaginative toppings ranging from hummus to marshmallows.
The most popular dog so far is the Chicago dog, topped with relish, sports peppers, a pickle spear, celery salt and onions. The menu also features a few off-the-wall dogs, including a caviar dog that's $39.99 and a S'mores dog, topped with marshmallows, chocolate sauce and mashed up graham crackers. Most dogs, though, are around $5. The restaurant also serves pizza. Let's Be Frank is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, call 316-350-4637.
